If you turn left at the Sumiyaki Sawayaka intersection on the Kanzanji Road in Tomizuka, you will find a Western-style confectionery shop with a sophisticated atmosphere based on white.PATIS AKIYAMAThere is a shop called "Akiyama." Akiyama is a pioneer of stylish cake shops in Hamamatsu, and its sophisticated atmosphere makes it seem like a relatively new shop, but it actually opened in 1990, and has been operating with this style for 23 years, which is surprising. The interior atmosphere is just as good as the exterior, with simple yet stylish decor, and high-quality audio equipment playing soothing jazz music. Every item you see is carefully chosen, and the good taste of the owners, Mr. and Mrs. Akiyama, shines through, giving the shop a sophisticated adult feel. As soon as you enter the shop, there are two display cases lined up, and on the walls are rows of gift boxes for baked goods, tea leaves, jams and other presents. In addition to takeout, there are also seats for eating in, with 8 tables and 6 counter seats. I love both the cakes and the atmosphere, and I ordered the thank-you gifts for my wedding reception last year from here. Since I moved to Mikatahara, it had been a while since my last visit, but on this day I bought three summery cakes to take away!

NEW "Tarte Tropic" 430 yen
This new summer creation is adorable, resembling a ladybug. It's a tart with pineapple mousse, passion fruit, and coconut. The summery fruits create a perfectly balanced and refreshing combination of sweet and sour flavors – a truly fantastic pairing! I thought the brown stick on top was chocolate, but when I took a bite...it turned out to be a bitter vanilla bean! (laughs)

"Puy d'Amour" 390 yen
This custard cream cake, which at first glance resembles a pudding, features a crispy pie crust topped with smooth custard cream and baked to a golden brown. Inside, you'll find a delightful accent of stewed raspberries with just the right amount of tartness.

Lemon tart: 400 yen
The refreshing tartness of the lemon is served in the best possible condition, making it easy to eat even for those who don't usually like the sourness of lemon. Its light flavor makes it perfect for summer. Akiyama's cakes are all slightly smaller in size, making them just right. And the prices are very reasonable. There are always around 20-25 kinds of fresh cakes and 25 kinds of baked goods available. This is a recommended shop for those who want to enjoy a slightly luxurious tea time!
