A Thai restaurant called "Aji no Ie" (House of Taste) has opened across from Wat Arun in Rongros!

Wat Arun RatchawararamA popular Thai restaurant with a view of the opposite bankRongrosLunchtime at "Long Loss" (โรงรส)!

This restaurant, with its vibrant royal blue color, was originally a garage, and the owner fell in love with the location at first sight. It opened in May 2019 as a restaurant serving warm Thai home-style cooking!
"Rongros (โรงรส)" means "garage" in Thai, but it can also mean "house of flavors," which is why the restaurant was named this way!

Located in an area with a view of Wat Arun, it has been a hot topic since it opened, and it seems to be very popular, bustling with many guests!

The shop's walls are faded and cracked, the pillars are exposed, a chandelier hangs from the ceiling, there are Chinese-style partitions, and a sculpture sits on the counter.

And with rattan furniture that exudes an Asian flair and antique-style interior decor, East and West are haphazardly mixed together!

It has a unique atmosphere and is a mysterious space, but it's put together with exquisite taste, making it a stylish space where you feel comfortable!

We'll ask the staff for their recommendations and then place our order!

I ordered a large Heineken beer for 250 THB (approximately 900 yen) and toasted to Wat Arun!

"Phad Thai Goong (Thai-style fried noodles)" 280 THB (approximately 1,000 yen)
This is one of Thailand's most representative and classic dishes, featuring flat, chewy rice noodles coated in a sweet and sour sauce!
The Pad Thai, served on a vibrant banana leaf, is accompanied by two shrimp, an egg, and papaya. Sugar to add sweetness, chili to add spiciness, and herbs such as Thai lime, cilantro, and Thai scallions are all provided on the side so you can add them to your liking!
This Pad Thai has a great balance of sweet and spicy flavors, and the sauce coats the chewy rice noodles perfectly, resulting in a taste that's just right!

"Kra Phrao Pork Set (Khao Pad Gaprao / Stir-fried pork with basil and rice)" 230 THB (approximately 830 yen in Japanese currency)
This is a classic Thai dish of minced pork stir-fried with holy basil (gapao) in a sweet and spicy sauce, and it's served on a single plate with rice!
Following my favorite Pad Thai, I also want to try Gapao Rice, which I often eat in Japan!
In Thailand, ordering "gapao rice" like you would in Japan won't work, so be careful! (lol)
Similarly, the dishes are served in separate cups on banana leaves, making for a visually appealing and cute plate!
We're usually pretty good with spicy food, but this was quite hot and spicy, and it left our tongues feeling numb!
However, the balance of flavors was exquisite, and we both finished the entire bowl, sweating profusely, exclaiming, "It's delicious even though it's spicy!"

When it came time to pay, my husband discovered that the restaurant didn't accept credit cards, so he rushed off to the ATM!

In Bangkok, cashless payments are widespread in restaurants and cafes, except for street stalls, so I didn't carry much cash. However, I've learned that it's important to carry some cash with you!

Finally, we greeted General Manager PONGSAKORN K.NA AYUDHAYA and took a commemorative photo!

I highly recommend this restaurant; the atmosphere, location, and staff service are all excellent, and you can enjoy delicious Thai food!

In front of the restaurant was the person who helped me the other dayRiva Surya Bangkok(Riva Surya Bangkok) and another hotel in the same group that offers a panoramic view of Wat Arun.Riva Arun BangkokThere is a place called "(Liva Arun Bangkok)"!

The next time I visit Bangkok, I would definitely like to stay at "Riva Arun Bangkok"!

After the meal, we enjoyed some shopping while strolling through the street shops around Tha Tien Pier on the Chao Phraya River!

As it's a tourist destination, there are many shops with beautiful and stylish storefronts, and you'll have no trouble finding souvenirs!

After enjoying a leisurely stroll, it's almost time to check into the hotel, so let's head to our memorable hotel, our last stop on this trip!
