"Bar Kanogawa," a hidden retreat for adults, opens only on weekends at the Sanyo-so hot spring inn in Izu-Nagaoka -5-

As night falls quietly, enveloped in a warm light,Izu Nagaoka Onsen Sanyo-soWith the lingering flavors of the kaiseki meal still present in our hearts and on our tongues, we headed towards a secluded retreat for adults nestled in the back of the main building. A waitress smiled softly and asked gently, "Would you like to take a look?" Her words led us to step through the door.

The space has a dignified appearance, reflecting the passage of time, and is a special place that is only open on weekends.Bar KanogawaThe moment you step inside, the atmosphere changes. The polished counter, the counter stools unchanged since that time, the furnishings in subdued colors, the softly glowing indirect lighting. It's not flashy, but rather a quiet weight, a nostalgic world that evokes a sense of longing. A place far removed from the hustle and bustle, a place that truly deserves to be called a "hideaway for adults."

What truly catches the eye are the magnificent beams that powerfully span the ceiling. The weathered appearance of the wood quietly speaks to the prestige of this space.

At the end of a day spent here, the moment you raise a glass will surely feel more enriching than anything else.

A moment to encounter another story that breathes life into the depths of this historic inn. It's a moment to engrave your special day more deeply and quietly.

We received such heartwarming service that we took a commemorative photo with the waitress who showed us around.

The night breeze in the quiet garden is gentle, and the historical atmosphere of the place takes on an even more dignified air under the starry sky, creating a special nighttime ambiance.

With the memories still fresh in our hearts, we headed to the annex where our beloved dog, Chocolat, was waiting.

A night spent at Sanyoso gently reminds you of the beauty of "adult time" imbued with tranquility.

Returning to the annex, the "Fujiuraha ~Wanzu Hanare~ Sakae Room" takes on a different appearance than during the daytime, illuminated by soft light.

Our beloved dog, Chocolat, seemed to have been eagerly awaiting our return, as she snuggled up to us, looking relaxed and at ease, and we spent a peaceful night filled with tranquility.
