Breakfast is available at any time between 7:00 AM and 9:30 AM.

Breakfast on a trip is the first dish that allows you to savor the richness of the land.
At "Shunsai Kura," you can enjoy a buffet-style breakfast featuring a variety of Japanese and Western dishes.

The star of the show is "Kamado-cooked rice," made with premium rice from Kanagawa Prefecture, cooked to perfection with pure natural water from Hakone.
Adding to the ambiance are dishes based on a "body-friendly Japanese taste."

A wide variety of "rice accompaniments" are lined up, such as Nanko plums, bamboo shoots simmered in Tosa style, and simmered cod roe.
With so many dishes, you'll find yourself wanting seconds of rice.
Each dish, though simple, is meticulously prepared, reflecting the chef's passion.

It won the gold prize at the "GOOD EGG AWARDS 2023".
Hot spring eggs made with "Fuku ga Kita," a brand of free-range eggs from the foot of Mt. Fuji.

They also have miso soup made with "Iichi Miso," a brand of miso from Odawara that has been made unchanged since 1850.
Miso that has been carefully aged in wooden barrels develops a mellow richness and a gentle flavor.

Prepare some porridge as well.

Hakone's handmade tofu is topped with ingredients such as yam, ginger, green onions, and tempura batter bits.

Tea udon noodles, similar to Wanko Soba.

This hearty soup, packed with vegetables and meat, is incredibly popular!

Thick omelet, teriyaki yellowtail, simmered rockfish, satsuma-age (fried fish cake), thick fried tofu,
Meat and potato stew, chicken breast with salt koji dressing, sardines simmered in sweet syrup with pickled plums, whitebait, fish cake, and blanched vegetables.

The side dishes that can be included in a Western-style plate are:
Soft-scrambled eggs, hearty fried chicken, and french fries,

Bacon, ratatouille, sausage, etc.

The bread selection consists of three types: croissants, baguettes, and round rolls.
Reheat it in your Aladdin toaster to your desired level of doneness, then serve it hot with butter or jam.

For a post-meal treat, try some hot spring steamed buns.

The salad bar is also well-stocked, with crisp "Fuji lettuce" and
Fruit tomatoes whose sweetness is brought out by the temperature difference at the foot of Mt. Fuji,
Broccoli and potato salad,

My favorite fruits to go with my yogurt include pineapple, melon, oranges, and of course, my beloved lychee!

I usually eat Western food and my husband eats Japanese food, so let's try to include a good balance of both.

We returned to our room in the new building, "Aya-kan," and enjoyed one last soak in the private open-air bath.
Immerse yourself in the sulfurous waters of the Owakudani hot spring while gazing at the courtyard surrounded by greenery, and take slow, deep breaths while listening to the birdsong.
I packed my bags, tidied up the room that had taken such good care of me, and brought my stay to a close.

It was 11:00 AM, and time to check out.

My dog, Chocolat, also seemed to have slept soundly in a comfortable room, and she's full of energy this morning!

This trip to Hakone, which soothed both my mind and body, was like a reward, allowing me to forget about everyday life.
