As the first signs of spring gently envelop the garden, the historic and renowned inn "Izu Nagaoka Onsen Sanyo-soWe visited the hotel, and the next morning, as the sky slowly began to brighten and the sun gently made its appearance, we left our detached room, "Fujiuraha," and took a stroll in the garden. Underneath the cherry trees in bloom in the garden, we felt the arrival of spring, but the morning air was still a little chilly, and the coolness that brushed against our cheeks gently reminded us that a new day had just begun.

Spread across the vast grounds of Sanyo-so is a strolling garden that displays different expressions throughout the four seasons.

Walking slowly through the quiet morning air, enjoying the undisturbed scenery is truly a luxurious experience.

As the morning light begins to fill the air, the buildings take on a soft crimson hue, revealing a different appearance than they did at night.

A stillness fills the air, as if time has not yet begun to move. If you listen carefully, the only sound you can hear is the wind rustling through the trees, carp swim gracefully across the pond, and when water striders leap across the surface, the ripples spread out quietly and gently in layers. As you gaze upon this scene, your breathing becomes in sync with the gentle rhythm of nature, and you feel your mind slowly becoming at peace.

A majestic Japanese red pine tree has deep roots in the garden. Nestled within its imposing branches stands the historic "Main Building VIP Room, Miyuki," in quiet serenity. The dignified character of the building, honed over many years, and the powerful presence of the red pine tree combine to create a scene that evokes a sense of the eternal flow of time in this place. The VIP room is located in a secluded area about 300 meters from the main entrance of the new building, and the private tatami corridor leading to it stretches for about 50 meters. Though still within the hotel grounds, it is enveloped in a tranquility reminiscent of a private detached house, offering a rich sense of privacy and a truly special atmosphere.

The garden at Sanyoso is not just beautiful; the scenery, nurtured over many years, possesses a profound depth that quietly embraces human time, making it a place filled with peace and tranquility.

"Takasago Kagetsu," a detached building within the main building, offers a panoramic view of the garden, where the seasons change beautifully.

Walking to the very back of the garden, you'll find the members-only club "PRINCE VACATION CLUBThere are eight special guest rooms prepared specifically for this purpose. Located at the back of the inn, there is little foot traffic, making it a space that stands out for its tranquility and privacy.

The appeal of staying at Sanyo-so lies in being able to enjoy a relaxed stay, much like being in your own private villa, while feeling closer to its beautiful gardens.

In a corner of the garden, a vibrant red plum tree is quietly in bloom, its soft crimson petals unfurling in the still chilly morning air, gently adding a touch of spring to the tranquil garden. Its dignified presence, yet somehow endearing appearance, seems like a small harbinger of the end of the long winter.

By the time you return after walking around the garden, the morning sun, which has just begun to shine in, gradually gains strength, filling the entire garden with a soft light.
