A birthday trip to celebrate my beloved dog Chocolat's 6th birthday

From the Ayakan parking lot, there's a ramp that allows you to easily move your dog along in a dog cart, making it very convenient to load and unload luggage!

Similar to the main building, we have four limited guest rooms on the first floor where guests can stay with their pets.
*Only one small dog (generally under 10 kg) allowed.

General hotel guests should enter through this main entrance.

Ayakan Front Desk & Lobby
The log boldly placed in the center of the lobby is made from cypress wood that was removed when this mountain was cleared.
It is also used in some parts of the walls.
Underneath the tables in the lobby, a rare stone called "Komatsu stone," which can only be found in Kanagawa Prefecture, is used as an art object.
It exudes an air of elegance that evokes a sense of harmony with nature.

Hotel check-in is from 3:00 PM, and although the accommodation fee has already been paid in advance, we separately paid the dog's accommodation fee of ¥3,300 (tax included) and the hot spring tax for two people of ¥300 (tax included). After confirming breakfast and dinner times and receiving various instructions, check-in was complete!

Ayakan also supports smart check-in. If you register in advance using the guidance email sent after booking, you can complete the check-in process using this touch-panel tablet terminal, allowing for a smooth check-in experience.

This is the entrance to our limited number of four rooms where you can stay with your dog.
This area is dog-friendly, and the indoor dog run is also located further ahead.

After 9 PM, you unlock the door by holding your room key up to the sensor, ensuring safe and secure security.

The area in front of your room is barrier-free, allowing you to easily move around while pushing a dog stroller.

Room 1101 in Ayakan | Dog-friendly room with a courtyard surrounded by greenery and an open-air bath.
The four "dog-friendly rooms" located on the first floor of the Ayakan building allow one small dog to stay. The room we stayed in this time was one of them, "Room 1101/40㎡ (Premium Dog-Friendly Room with Open-Air Hot Spring Bath and Terrace)." Opening the door revealed a modern space enveloped in simple and natural interior design, with chic colors that created a calming atmosphere. The room was spacious and open, and the flooring was made of materials that dogs can use to stay comfortable, so Chocolat quickly relaxed.

At the back of the guest room, there is a luxurious courtyard terrace and an open-air hot spring bath made of Shigaraki ware.
The space surrounded by trees is truly“Private Spa in the Forest”。

Ayakan offers a private and relaxing atmosphere with all rooms featuring open-air baths, making it the perfect place for families looking to unwind.

The bed, which features indirect lighting behind it, is a semi-double twin bed and comes with two types of pillows of different firmness and height to support a good night's sleep.
(※Dogs are not allowed in the bed.)

Touchscreen tablets are provided, allowing visitors to view all information and guides within the building.
You can also make internal calls to the front desk from this tablet.

An alarm will sound when your meal is ready in the main building's restaurant.

We also have a wide range of amenities for your dog!

At Ayakan, the dog-friendly rooms are fully equipped with pet amenities. Each cage has a dedicated toilet tray and pet sheet, and a food bowl is provided with treats and water for your dog. If you need to leave your dog alone for meals or other reasons, they will need to stay in their cage.

In addition, it comes with everything you need, such as a walking bag, wet wipes, paw moisturizing gel, a lint roller, deodorizing spray, and a dustbin, which is great because it allows you to minimize the amount of luggage you have to carry.

A haori (a type of Japanese jacket) is provided in the luggage rack, and a samue (a type of Japanese work clothing) is stored in the upper drawer of the chest below, with a safety deposit box in the lower drawer.

You are welcome to move around the building wearing a yukata or samue (traditional Japanese work clothing).

The bathroom sink area is equipped with bath towels and face towels (one set each), hand soap, skincare products, and a hairdryer. Please bring your room towels when going to the main building's public bath. Also, some amenities are available for a fee (bamboo toothbrush (adult size) ¥100 / razor ¥100 / wooden hairbrush ¥300 / shower cap ¥50), so we recommend bringing your own from home.

For skincare, we have cleansing gel, face soap, lotion, and milk from the "Garden Botanical Series" available.

The shower room features a two-head showerhead, and the amenities are supervised by herbalist Atsuko Morita, Japan's first plant biomethodology brand.WafeltoWe offer a full range of shampoos, conditioners, and body washes from the brand.

A bidet-equipped flush toilet is also provided at the back of the bathroom.

There are two bottles of mineral water for drinking, an electric kettle, and a Nespresso coffee maker. Coffee capsules, glasses, and cups are provided on the top shelf of the chest. The ice maker is located next to the vending machine at the front desk, so please bring your own ice bucket if needed.

The refrigerator is empty, so you are welcome to bring your own drinks, including alcohol, into your room. Please bring your favorite drinks.

The power outlets in the headboard are USB compatible, so you can charge your devices if you bring your own charging cable.
Furthermore, an alarm clock and a Bluetooth speaker are provided.

Since you can connect it to your smartphone and play your favorite background music, it's perfect for relaxing while listening to jazz.

Now that we've taken a breather, let's get ready to celebrate our beloved dog Chocolat's 6th birthday!

We brought our usual homemade meal and birthday decorations, lit candles, and celebrated with snacks!
Chocolat has successfully lost about 500g of weight for this day, so let's let her eat to her heart's content! (lol)

The property also includes a dog run!

The property also features an outdoor dog run, and the ground is covered with soft chips that are gentle on your dog's paws.
You can let your dog play to their heart's content after checking in or while taking them for a walk.
(Operating hours: 7:30 AM to sunset)

Chocolat only sniffs around in the dog run, but she still seems to enjoy being free and happy, which brings smiles to our faces too!

Enjoy a relaxing and refreshing stay with your beloved dog.
When traveling with pets, there's always the worry of whether your beloved dog will be able to enjoy the trip, but Ayakan is a dog-friendly inn where you can spend a relaxing time with your family without any worries.
