【A new style of modern French restaurant has opened in Roppongi.】

Roppongi is a trend-setting area where people who lead the latest trends gather, despite not being a terminal station. And now, a new French restaurant has opened within a stone’s throw from Tokyo Midtown, which symbolizes Roppongi. Its name, “SeRieUX,” means “serious” in French, and was chosen to convey new values that were previously not found in this city. This is the second restaurant operated by the group company after Ginza L’Argent, and I designed the logo for this restaurant. SeRieUX in French means serious and diligent, conveying the meaning of paying attention to every detail with care and seriousness in one’s work. I expressed an attitude of working and playing with full enthusiasm through the movement of uppercase and lowercase letters, always incorporating a playful spirit into serious work. In addition, the “UX” at the end of the spelling emphasizes user experience, expressing the desire for customers to have a new experience through SeRieUX’s cuisine and service. The cuisine offered in Roppongi, the trend-setting area that Japan boasts, is “modern French from Tokyo,” played by a chef who knows the unique qualities of Japanese culture and ingredients. We will deliver dishes that allow you to enjoy the essence of the times rather than reproducing past nostalgia. Chef’s profile : Tetsuro Otsuka was born in Tokyo in 1982. After graduating from the Tsuji Culinary Institute in France, he worked at Michelin-starred restaurants such as L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon (Tokyo), Patrick Jeffroy (France), Pierre Gagnaire (Tokyo), and L’Ami Louis (Tokyo), before becoming the chef of a Michelin-starred restaurant in Tokyo.
