Spread across a vast 36,000-tsubo (approximately 112,000 square meters) site on the banks of the Yoshikawa River, the resort features a main building, a west building, villa suites, and various other guest rooms. Furthermore, it boasts a kaiseki tea ceremony area, a footbath cafe, numerous gardens and terraces, and walking paths, creating a magnificent world reminiscent of a small village. We parked in the day-use parking lot P1 and enjoyed a stroll around the grounds.

"Outdoor Stage"

Covered rest areas are installed throughout the site, and it can also be used as a venue for outdoor events.

And, the vast grounds are covered in lawnTofuya GardenAreas such as the park are open to the public and can be freely entered and exited, so many people use it like a park. Dogs are also allowed as long as they are on a leash and follow the rules, making it a great facility for dog lovers.

"pergola"

On the official website, this is "pergolaIt's named " ", but it has a roof so it can be shaded from the sun and rain.

"Bakery & Table Tofuya Footbath Cafe"

Among the many new facilities that have been added as part of the renovation, one that has proven particularly popular is the bakery and cafe with a terrace where even non-guests can enjoy a footbath.Bakery & Table Tofuya Footbath Cafe」。

"Midori no Hashi"

To explore the grounds, we passed the footbath cafe and the building completed in 1928Midori BridgeCrossing over, you will reach the lounge exclusively for hotel guests.Taishokan HosenWe will head to "[destination]".

The clear stream of Izu, "Yoshina River"

Within the grounds is the clear stream of IzuYoshinagawaThe river flows through the area, and every part of the accommodation, including the garden terrace, faces the river, allowing you to feel the gentle murmur of the clear stream everywhere, creating a healing landscape.

The approach, paved with cobblestones, evokes a sense of nostalgia for the past and a feeling of traditional Japanese charm.

Even in early November, you can see a few autumn leaves, and the area is full of Japanese charm and atmosphere, like a time trip back to the Taisho era.

The storehouse was renovated and is now used as a guest room.

"Taishokan Hosen"

「Higashifuya" was adjacent toFormer HosensoThe site of "[ ]" was also acquired and renovated, and in one corner of it was "[Taishokan HosenIt has been transformed into a lounge exclusively for hotel guests. Inside the building, you can spend a nostalgic time while experiencing the romance of the Taisho era.Cafe Art DecoThe lounge is exclusively for hotel guests, offering free drinks from 11:00 AM to 5:30 PM, including draft beer, wine, and various soft drinks. The space, a nostalgic blend of Japanese and Western styles, is influenced by Taisho Romanticism, retaining the Art Deco style that was popular in Europe and America from the 1910s to the 1930s, giving it a classical appearance. Next to it is the name of a cafe from the Taisho era, "Milk HallWe also have retro-style spaces with different atmospheres, created with the "[theme]" as a motif.

Bakery & CafeBakery & Table Tofuya Footbath CafeThe space that was formerly used as a swimming pool in the old facility has been newly renovated into a water feature where you can enjoy the sparkle of water. Underneath the wisteria trellis, which is covered with vibrant purple wisteria flowers in season, there are terrace seats and tables with footbaths, and it is now operated as a bakery and cafe. I checked with the staff about bringing dogs, and they said that dogs are allowed in all areas except inside the bakery shop and in the footbath where they must be carried, as long as they are on a leash, so you can enjoy a footbath while eating delicious bread.

It's amazing to be able to choose your favorite bread from the bakery, relax at a footbath table, enjoy a footbath, and then have coffee in this location! I have a specific cafe in mind that I'm looking forward to visiting this time, so I'd definitely like to try it next time.

Let's venture further into the lush grounds and take a stroll.

「Tofuya Garden」

The entire area is covered in grass, and it is a beautifully maintained "Tofuya Garden」。

It was far too spacious for our dog, Chocolat, and she started asking to be held halfway through (lol).

"Waterfall Viewing Terrace"

In addition to tables, the terrace also features a "Hanging Chair Crush Double (for two)," where you can gently sway and enjoy a peaceful and relaxing time surrounded by nature.

"Riverside Terrace"

While the terrace is designed as a riverside dining area with a raised platform, it also blends seamlessly into the natural landscape, preserving its natural beauty.

You can enjoy the scenery of each season, from cherry blossoms in spring to autumn leaves in fall.

While there are many hotels and inns with beautiful gardens, places like this one, which are open to the public and can be used free of charge like a park, are extremely rare.

Why not try using it during your relaxing time with your beloved dog?

The soothing sound of the flowing river serves as pleasant background music, allowing you to forget the hustle and bustle of everyday life and guiding your mind towards a state of purity.

Yoshina Onsen is located in a quiet mountain area a little way from the Izu Expressway that runs through the center of Izu.Tofuya Resort & Spa-Izu". Within that large site,A sacred hot spring for fertilityThe area is home to many artifacts related to Lady Oman, the origin of the name "Oman," as well as items associated with the foreigner Okichi, and numerous traces and works of prominent figures from various fields. It is a pleasure to experience history and culture while enjoying a sense of openness in this magnificent location.

This accommodation previously had three separate rooms designated as dog-friendly rooms, but unfortunately, that service has been discontinued, and it is no longer possible to stay with your dog. However, you can freely use the grounds, and you can fully enjoy strolling around and refreshing yourself, so I highly recommend it.
