Located along White Street in Sanarudai, El Camino is a Spanish restaurant exuding an exotic atmosphere. "Camino" means "road" in Spanish. The restaurant's name reflects their desire to help create memorable "roads"—the paths people take for their daily meals, in various places, situations, and with their own individual feelings. Enjoy authentic Spanish cuisine and a wide selection of drinks in a setting that brings Spain close at hand. The chef's signature paella is a must-try!

El Camino's recommended lunch menu is available on weekdays and weekends alike. The restaurant has an exotic atmosphere with tables and chairs, and walls decorated to resemble a fireplace, allowing you to enjoy a relaxing meal.

"Assortment of 4 appetizers"
From left to right, we have a carrot salad tossed in an onion dressing, which is refreshing. The potato salad with anchovies has a nice balance of richness and saltiness. The marinated octopus in a Spanish-style mayonnaise sauce with paprika is flavorful, and the shrimp are served with a mild cocktail sauce. Each appetizer offers a different taste that is enjoyable!

Garlic Chicken: 880 yen
This dish consistently ranks among the top three most popular items on the menu at this restaurant. Bone-in chicken thighs are pan-fried skin-side down in olive oil and butter garlic, then slowly cooked in the oven, resulting in a tender and juicy interior. It pairs perfectly with french fries, and is especially delicious when dipped in the sauce with baguette slices!

"Pork Saragosa Style" 780 yen
Zaragoza is the name of a region in Spain, and this dish is a local specialty. Pork belly is simmered in a sauce called sabrito, a traditional Spanish sauce made with carrots and vegetables, then topped with a boiled egg and finished in the oven. It's a sweet meat dish that evokes a sense of nostalgia. Be sure to dip plenty of baguette into the sauce!

Baguettes are available for unlimited refills.

"Red grape sherbet"
I received this as a complimentary treat from owner Nakano-san (thank you!). The red grape sherbet is rich but not too sweet, making it refreshing even in summer.

Drinks: "Iced coffee and grapefruit juice"

Yuji Nakano (33 years old), the owner of El Camino, always greets customers with a refreshing smile. It's hard to believe, but the restaurant is already celebrating its 6th anniversary. Becoming an El Camino email subscriber will get you information on fun live music and flamenco performances, as well as recommendations for courses. I look forward to visiting again, hoping that the restaurant will continue to provide the same delicious food and enjoyable experience!
