This classically styled fan, created in the 19th century, depicts a classic courtyard scene divided into three patterns, with animals depicted in four small windows and adorned with luxurious floral lace for a touch of elegance! MO fans around the world each have their own unique style! MO Shanghai fans are particularly large, creating an elegant breeze when fanned, and the classic design gives a gentle impression! As an MO fan, this fan collection is irresistible!

Furthermore, the Hotel ManagerEric BlomeyerSince they kindly showed their faces, we presented the staff with "Unagi Pie," a famous confection from Hamamatsu, where we live!
Tiffany (who calls herself "Suzume-chan"), a staff member who speaks Japanese, accompanied us on the hotel tour!
Art is scattered throughout the hotel, and in the background of the club lounge's reception area, there is a porcelain piece titled "Music of Lotus" by Lai Dequan, a renowned Chinese artist and craftsman!
The bold depiction of lotus flowers, as if dancing to music, and the masterful manipulation of glazes, make this piece truly astonishing—it's made of porcelain! Up close, you can appreciate the sparkling beauty of the porcelain!
Furthermore, Japanese artists have also been featured, and the moment you step into the club lounge, the first thing that catches your eye is "Bamboo Grove" by Hiromi Oka! This piece utilizes the traditional Japanese artistic technique of "stencil dyeing," and because it produces various expressions depending on the light, the atmosphere changes each time, giving it a delicate feel!
After passing through the Riviera Lounge on the first floor and walking along the grassy path, you'll arrive at a courtyard surrounded by buildings! This pleasant spot, with its gentle breeze, is also apparently used for bridal ceremonies!
Facing the courtyard is "FIFTY 8° GRILL," a modern French restaurant that primarily serves grilled dishes based on traditional French culinary techniques! We will provide a detailed description of lunchtime there later!
On the first floor of the residence adjacent to the hotel is "The Mandarin Cake Shop at Mandarin Oriental Pudong, ShanghaiThere's a "Mandarin Cake Shop" there, offering freshly baked chocolate confections, bread, cakes, macarons, and more, all made by their in-house patissier!
The shop also features a display of chocolate art created by their in-house chocolatier, with lemon trees and Rubik's Cubes all made from chocolate, and various designs available for custom orders! The sweet aroma was so intoxicating that I almost forgot that even the glossy dark brown chairs looked like chocolate! (lol)
They sell a limited-time "MO Original Mooncake" here, and their recommended product is the one with a cool fan-shaped package design, which makes a great gift!
On the first basement floor is the Chinese restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in the "Michelin Guide Shanghai 2018".Yong Yi Ting at Mandarin Oriental Pudong, ShanghaiThere's a restaurant called "Yang Yi Ting," which specializes in authentic Jiangnan cuisine, incorporating Shanghai dishes and the neighboring Jiangsu and Zhejiang cuisines! We'll give you a more detailed look at the dinner service later!
Additionally, on the first basement floor, there is a "Business Centre," where you can also find "Shanghai Series – Wing," a work by Japanese land artist Eiji Okubo!
This artwork, created using a Chinese parasol tree from Shanghai and handmade paper, evokes a sense of nature's presence and gentleness!
Also located on the first basement floor is the luxurious "The Spa at Mandarin Oriental Pudong Shanghai," which features 11 treatment rooms, each privately named after a butterfly from a different country! The couple's room is spacious and offers a relaxing space with views of a bamboo garden despite being underground! The jacuzzi is designed to fit your body perfectly, allowing two people to comfortably enjoy a soak!
Many art pieces featuring butterflies are on display here, and the idea is that, like the beautiful transformation of a butterfly from chrysalis to butterfly, "the guests' bodies and minds will be liberated and become more beautiful!"
Following that, there is a "Fitness Center" and a "Pool." The pool maintains a comfortable water temperature of 28℃ and is a spacious 25m long and 1.4m deep, allowing you to enjoy swimming!
The hotel tour concludes with a visit to the "Ballroom" on the second basement floor!
Each ballroom is separated by partitions, but they can be connected to accommodate large events of up to 1,000 people!
At the showroom where you'll have your wedding reception planning meeting, you can choose everything in advance according to your preferred style, from the tableware and cutlery to the food and table setting for the day of the reception!
