1956At the time, it was under construction.
It was built to pray for the smooth progress of construction on the Erawan Hotel (now the Grand Hyatt Erawan).
Here, Brahma, one of the three principal gods of Hinduism, is enshrined.
It has a reputation for having an extremely high success rate in fulfilling various wishes, including those related to work, love, health, and relationships.
It has been featured in the media not only in Thailand but also overseas.
It's an extremely popular spot, with a constant stream of visitors throughout the year.

The reason we came here was,July 1, 2015
That short month and a halfAugust 17That night, when I heard the news that there had been an explosion here that appeared to be a terrorist attack,
I was deeply moved by the horror of the situation, which felt far more real than something happening in another country, and I was overcome with sadness.
I am truly saddened by this,
I offer my deepest condolences and prayers for the repose of the souls of those who have passed away.
Restoration work in the area surrounding the site was carried out quickly.19thIt resumed in the morning.
Along with more than a dozen monks, many worshippers, including tourists, visit and offer their prayers.
I hope that such a situation will not happen again in the future.

Many flowers were offered and worshipped at the Hindu god "Brahma」。

Those whose wishes have been granted here express their gratitude to Lord Brahma,
Many people can be seen returning to the temple to request a performance of traditional Thai dance as a way of expressing their gratitude.
Both those who come to pray and those who come to express their gratitude are extremely serious.

The traditional Thai dances, accompanied by live music, create a truly mystical atmosphere.

I also bought something at the shop on the temple grounds.
Purchase flowers, incense, and candles for 25 THB (approximately 95 Japanese yen) and offer your prayers.
There are people selling flowers for offerings outside the temple grounds, but it seems that there have been many incidents of people being sold at exorbitant prices.
Even if it's crowded, we recommend purchasing from the shop on the temple grounds.
*The difference in purchase price depends on the size and type of floral arrangement.

Here's how to properly pay your respects at a shrine.
First, light the incense sticks using the two lamps provided.

IMG_8605

Starting from the front near the entrance, you will pay your respects to each of the four faces in a counter-clockwise direction.

IMG_8608

Place the incense stick, divided into four equal parts, at each designated spot on the wall.

IMG_8609

Similarly, floral tributes are placed on each side of the altar.

I think it's best to clearly state your wish and name yourself.
If my wish comes true, I would like to visit again to offer my thanks!
