A French confectionery shop in Moriyama City, Shiga Prefecture, designed to resemble a villa in the South of France.W.Boléro/Double BoléroWe'll give them birthday sweets at "[location]".

The garden next to the parking lot is planted with trees such as olives, mimosa, and plane trees, and herbs such as lavender, rosemary, and thyme grow there. The cozy atmosphere of the storefront and interior, surrounded by lush greenery, evokes the warm feeling of Southern France, and the owner-patissier hopes that customers will enjoy exquisite sweets while feeling the essence of France.Yuji WatanabeIt embodies his feelings and aspirations.

Opened on September 24, 2004, with the concept of "sweets for adults," this store is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.

The terrace seating is pet-friendly, which is a nice bonus. Since we were planning on getting takeout that day, we'll definitely use it another time.

The shop, filled with sweet aromas, is a dreamlike world, with Western-style fresh pastries, baked goods, chocolates, and more crammed into every available space.

Based on traditional French pastry techniques, the shop's confectionery making is characterized by the sensibilities of Chef Patissier Watanabe, who has extensive experience living in France.

The display case features a diverse lineup of seasonal limited-edition items and classic menu items, and the brand's appeal lies in its meticulous attention to ingredients and beautiful presentation. Key ingredients such as butter, flour, sugar, and chocolate are carefully selected for their high quality, and the sweets on display are the result of Chef Patissier Watanabe's painstaking efforts.

The wine section is also well-stocked, offering a selection of wines that pair well with sweets.

They also sell "Eierschecke," a four-layered baked cheesecake originating from the historic German city of Dresden. Gift sets combining sweets and champagne are also available, offering a luxurious feel and making them a popular gift for special occasions.

The shop also features a 20-seat salon de thé (tea room) where you can enjoy sweets at their most delicious in a relaxed atmosphere.

Chef Patissier Watanabe has won awards at "LES AWARDS DU SALON DU CHOCOLAT," the world's largest chocolate festival held in Paris, and has been selected as one of the world's top 100 chocolatiers.

The display case features a wide variety of chocolate confections, including colorful bonbons.

He has created over 30 kinds of bonbon chocolates, and on this day, 12 colorful varieties, including new creations, were on display in the store. This time, I chose a box of eight, and selected them while asking the staff for their recommendations.

We also offer a variety of chocolate confections that make great gifts, such as "Galette Cacao," "Liqueur Truffles," and "Blanchette."

They also have baked goods that are easy to take home and make a great snack to enjoy with tea.

There are three types of Florentines alone—plain, chocolate, and dark brown—and a wide variety of other treats such as shortbread, galettes, madeleines, and cookies.
