A traditional café founded in 1720 in St. Mark's Square in VeniceCaffe FlorianThis café is the oldest surviving café in Venice and is famous as the birthplace of the caffè latte. Founded in 1720, it was originally called "Alla Venezia Trionfante," meaning "Venice Trionfante" or "Venice in Triumph." Perhaps the founder named it this way, hoping against hope amidst the encroachment of surrounding countries. Later, the café became known as Caffè Florian, after its founder, Floriano Francesconi. Historically, it was a gathering place for many artists and is also famous for being the café featured in the film "Summertime," where Katharine Hepburn, playing Jane, drinks tea.

At Café Florian, you can enjoy live music such as violin, cello, and accordion performances in the corridor, and the terrace seating, where you can relax and enjoy the leisurely passage of time alongside the pigeons that are a famous feature of St. Mark's Square, is also very popular.

As Venice's oldest café, it's well-known and a popular tourist spot, so the interior is bustling with both locals and tourists. The doorman and the hostesses at the front desk, including the madam and gentlemen, greet you with smiles. Because of the large number of Japanese tourists, they often speak a little Japanese, which is a nice touch!

The café retains its 1800s decor, with dazzling golden walls adorned with paintings, creating a Rococo-style interior reminiscent of an art museum. The deep red velvet sofas offer an elegant experience that any woman would dream of.

"Caffè Hag, Caffè d'orzo" €6.50 (approximately 910 yen)
Decaf. It's barley coffee with the caffeine removed. I ordered the cheapest item on the cafe's menu (lol), but it was still over 900 yen a cup. I don't think it's too expensive since I consider the box price to be a factor, but the vast majority of the items are in a higher price range, all over 1,500 yen. In Japan, that would be the price of a lunch set!

"Caffè Espresso miscela Florian" €6.50 (approximately 910 yen)
This is our own brand of espresso coffee. In Italy, the espresso I had at every cafe was truly delicious!

Just then, live music started playing on the terrace. It seems that there is a music charge of €6 (approximately 840 yen) for this live performance.

Enjoying tea time in an extraordinary setting, surrounded by history, while listening to elegant live piano and violin music – it's a moment of invaluable experience that money simply can't buy! (And since it's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, it's worth splurging on! lol)

The shop makes you feel like a princess. I'm so happy my cheeks are flushed red♪

After enjoying the city of Venice, we'll leave the main island by boat and head straight to Calenzano by bus. Next time, I'll introduce our restaurant dinner in Calenzano!
