お迎えのあるツアーではなく、フリー旅にも大分慣れてきたわたし達夫婦は、今ではそのほとんどがフリー旅となります。
ツアーの良さは、やはり海外旅行初心者にとっては欠かせないものだと思います。
言語の通じる方はまだしも、右も左も判らず、
会話もままならない方に取っては、サポートしてくれる添乗員さんは天使のように映ることでしょう（笑）
しかしその一方で、ある程度海外旅行に慣れ親しんだ方ならば、
自分のペースで進めるフリー旅は、刺激も程好くありお勧めです。

空港内は、漢字表記の他に英語表記もあるので理解しやすいですが、
Taiwanの公用語は、中国語（北京語）で、漢字は中国本土で使われている簡体字ではなく繁体字を使用しており、
Taiwanのことを臺灣や台灣と表記したりしてします。
日本の常用漢字は両者の中間くらいで「繁体字よりは簡略化されており、
簡体字ほどにまでは簡略化されていない」といった具合です。
発音は、ピンイン（pinyin）というアルファベットを使った記号で表現され、
その読み方は他のどの外国語よりも難しいかもしれません。
中国語は405個の発音に加え、4声という声調の組み合わせで構成されているからです。
言語の壁は分厚いですが、それでもコミュニケーションの手段として、慣れない中でも少なからず、
挨拶などの最低限の言葉は言える努力はしたいものです。
漢字での筆談ですと互いに理解しやすいので、メモ用紙とペンを持つことをお勧めします♪

キャッシュで利用される方は、空港内の両替所にて事前に両替をしましょう。
空港内の両替はレートが高く、手数料も要するため、最低限必要な分の両替に留め、
残りは台北市内の中山にある手数料ゼロで両替できるお茶屋「昇祥茶行」をお勧めします。
バスの運賃は、1人当たりNT$125（日本円にしておよそ460円）。
タクシーならば、片道NT$1,000（日本円にしておよそ3,700円）ほどとなり、
そちらに高速道路代も追加されるため割高になります。
どちらを選ぶかはあなた次第です。
台湾のタクシー運転手には、日本語はおろか英語も通じないドライバーが多いため、
行き先を中国語表記で記したものを用意しておくと良いでしょう♪
乗り口3番の「國光客運」へ並びます。
こちらの会社は、2014年11月より深夜バスも運行するようになり、大変アクセス良好です。
尚、現在、Airport ⇔ Taipei CityConnectingMRT (Subway)Construction has begun on it.
早ければ年末までには運行を開始予定と発表しています。

スーツケースを預け、バス内の座席は指定席ではないので空いている席に座ります。
バス停の案内は、中国語と英語で表記とアナウンスされますが、
自身でもGoogleマップ等で確認しながら進むと安心です。

夜遅くの走行で道路が空いていたこともあり、桃園国際空港よりおよそ40分ほどで台北市内へ到着。
中山（ジョンシャン）of"AMBASSADOR Taipei」前の「國賓飯店」と書かれたバス停で下車します。
下車の際に、運転手が「荷物は？」と確認してこない場合は、
必ずトランクを指さして「荷物があるよ」とジェスチャーで伝えてください。
降りた瞬間に発車し、荷物を持って行かれてしまうケースがありますのでご注意ください。
今回、台北市内にてお世話になる宿泊先のデザイナーズホテル
「amba Taipei Zhongshan (Taipei Zhongshan Hotel)"teeth,
「國賓飯店」のバス停から下車し、Within a 2-3 minute walkでアクセス良好です！
