I relaxed in the airport lounge at Taoyuan International Airport, savoring the lingering memories of Taiwan, before returning to Japan.

Taoyuan International AirportI was dropped off at Terminal 2 by taxi, and I said goodbye to the driver, Kevin!

We arrived smoothly and had plenty of time before our flight, so we decided to check in early and relax in the airport lounge!

Priority Pass (Priority PassHead to "THE MORE Premium Lounge," the lounge you can enter with )!

This lounge is open from 6:00 AM to 11:30 PM. In addition to the main hall, there are also rooms with massage chairs, a counter with computers, and private rooms, and you can use any of them freely as long as they are available!

Food and drinks are all self-service, so please go and get what you like!

I have plenty of time, but my stomach is full, so I'll enjoy some Häagen-Dazs with some wine!

I was fumbling around, not knowing how to pour wine, when a kind Taiwanese gentleman patiently showed me how! Taiwanese people are truly all so warm and friendly.

My husband satisfied his hunger with a light Taiwanese ramen with plenty of seaweed and a refreshing Tsingtao beer that tasted as light as water! When you have some free time, a lounge break is definitely the best option!

As boarding time approaches, I head to the boarding gate, enjoying some last-minute shopping at the duty-free shops!

The flight was crowded, and it took off about 20 minutes late.

In addition to the beautiful sky, enjoying the view of Mt. Fuji peeking out from between the fantastical clouds made the three-hour flight fly by, and we arrived safely.Mt. Fuji Shizuoka AirportArrived at !

As evening falls, we arrive at Mt. Fuji Shizuoka Airport, which just celebrated the reopening of its new domestic terminal on April 10th. Tenants are gradually moving in, and we hope that the improved domestic services will lead to an increase in passengers in the future!

This concludes my travelogue about my first reporting trip to Taiwan in approximately two years!
In 2017, the number of Japanese tourists visiting Taiwan increased by 0.17% compared to the previous year, reaching nearly 1.9 million. We are very pleased with this upward trend in recent years!
I hope to continue sharing new information about Taiwan whenever the opportunity arises!
