Born in 1958. A children's book author living in Taipei.
After being diagnosed with leukemia, she began creating picture books in 1998.
Published in 1999, "The Place Where You Are" became a bestseller, sparking a boom in picture books for adults in Taiwan.
It was made into a film by Warner Bros., starring Takeshi Kaneshiro.
To date, he has published over 50 works, which have been translated and published in more than 15 countries worldwide.
Many of his works have been adapted into musicals, television dramas, and films, and "The Smiling Fish" won the Best Short Film Award at the 56th Berlin International Film Festival.
