"G-Lion Museum": A VINTAGE ZONE enchanted by the world of movies!

IMG_1844

G-Lion Museum GLION MUSEUM is the first classic car museum in the Kansai region to boast such scale and number of exhibited vehicles. Divided into four vintage zones, it is a museum that creates a world befitting vintage cars of each era!

Next up is the "VINTAGE ZONE," where you'll find exhibits such as the "Cadillac Series 61," famous for being used in the American mafia film "The Godfather," and the "Ford Deluxe," which played a major role in movies and television for 40 years as a studio model car. This is a zone that movie buffs will surely enjoy!

The Ford Deluxe was reportedly the car of choice for Mr. Galbraith, an economist from Colorado who was said to be President Roosevelt's last advisor, and he considered it a "symbol of glory"!

To further immerse myself in the world of "The Godfather," I had my picture taken in front of a 1929 Studebaker Commander 8, the car supposedly driven on "dangerous roads" by Mike Tutt, Al Capone's shadowy fundraiser. I was wearing a vintage hat and holding a classic gun, feeling just like a mafia member (lol). They also took a two-shot photo of me and my husband, and as we left, they presented us with a sepia-toned photo in an original photo frame!

Furthermore, we were thoroughly satisfied when General Factory Manager Shinobu Hamamoto showed us the differences in engine compartments of classic cars from different eras! If you would like a museum guide, please ask the staff!
