During my stay, I used "Forest Villa DOG" as my base, but I also left my dog at home for a while to visit the main building, "HOTEL NEMU," and enjoy its facilities.
Electric-assist bicycles are available in front of the main building, allowing you to stroll around the grounds while enjoying the refreshing breeze. This makes getting around the vast park comfortable, and it's also appealing because you can easily extend your trip to Shima Mediterranean Village. You'll be able to experience the nature of Ise-Shima from a different perspective than you would from a car.
The facility also includes an "Indoor Kids Area" where children can relax regardless of the weather. It incorporates play equipment and educational content themed around the nature of Shima, with thoughtful touches throughout to allow children to learn while they play. This creates a safe and comfortable environment for families with young children.
You'll be greeted by reindeer figurines made from natural wood logs and branches.
Inside the museum, there is a marine plastic artist...Tadasuke MaseWorks by [artist's name] are also on display. These pieces, which repurpose marine plastic washed ashore, convey a message about environmental issues beneath their beautiful colors. A trip to Ise-Shima, surrounded by its rich natural beauty, offers a perfect opportunity to reflect on the future of the ocean.
As befits a resort surrounded by forest, a tranquil atmosphere prevails in the lobby, far removed from the hustle and bustle. The greenery outside the window blends with the sound of records, allowing you to spend a truly relaxing time.
And then there's "The Lobby Lounge," which always warmly welcomes hotel guests. It's a place where the history of "Nemunosato," the predecessor of Nem Resort, still lives on.
Guests can enjoy unlimited coffee, and at certain times, refreshing vinegar drinks made with peach vinegar or muscat grape vinegar are also served.
Stopping by during a stroll or after a hot spring bath, and relaxing with music, is a luxurious experience unique to this lounge.
Developed by the Yamaha Group in 1967, Nemunosato became a popular resort that combined music, sports, and nature, and was even called a "holy land of music." Symbolizing its history are the thousands of LP records lining an entire wall.
The collection, primarily from the 1960s to the 1980s, is carefully preserved, and if you find a record that interests you, the staff will play it for you on the turntable. Since the turntable is a delicate piece of audio equipment, please be sure to ask the staff to operate it.
The warm, soothing sounds unique to vinyl records slowly flow through the lounge, allowing you to immerse yourself in a peaceful atmosphere as if time has rewound, accompanied by beloved classic albums.
Every staff member I encountered in the hotel greeted me with a smile and a pleasant welcome. These small gestures and thoughtful gestures contributed to a sense of security during my stay and made me feel the warm hospitality unique to this resort.
The hallway is adorned with nostalgic photographs of artists who graced the landscape of their respective eras. Each photograph tells the story of Nemunosato, once known as a "holy land of music," conveying the excitement and vibrant memories of that time.

I was looking forward to visiting the gym after finding it on their official website, and I brought my sportswear with me, determined not to break my daily routine. However, when I went to use it, I made the unfortunate mistake of forgetting my sneakers.
Ultimately, I wasn't able to train here, but while strolling around the vast 250-hectare grounds, my daily step count easily exceeded 8,000.
Instead of working up a sweat at the gym, I felt that the time I spent walking while enjoying the nature of Ise-Shima was a luxurious form of exercise unique to this trip.
A vast forest of mimosa trees stretches out before you through the large windows. On rainy days, during winter, and during evening yoga programs, this "free space" is where the sessions take place. As you gaze out at the forest beyond the large windows and take deep breaths, your mind will naturally relax, and you will feel the healing power of a resort.
In the "free space," bathed in abundant sunlight, you can relax and enjoy yourself as you please, whether it's closing your eyes while swaying in a hammock or simply taking in the scenery.
As I relaxed in the hammock, swaying gently, even the time I spent doing nothing felt luxurious; it was a truly healing space.
Stepping into the basement of the main building, you'll find yourself in Nem Resort's tranquil sanctuary. Here you'll find the "Megumi no Yu" hot spring bathing facility and the "PEARL SPA," which offers high-quality relaxation, allowing you to spend a special time slowly rejuvenating your mind and body.

With a fully equipped laundry room, you can rest assured even on extended stays. You can wash clothes soiled from walks or activities on the same day, ensuring a comfortable resort stay.

As you proceed down the tranquil corridor, you'll find NEMU RESORT's proud hot spring facility, "Megumi no Yu." From here, your hot spring tour, where you can experience the blessings of nature in Ise-Shima, begins.
"Megumi no Yu" is a place I visited many times during my stay to find relaxation.
In the relaxation lounge after your bath, you'll find "Mie no Shizuku," an original drink made with Ise tea from Mie Prefecture, blended with citrus and mint. Its refreshing aroma and clean aftertaste will make you want to have refills again and again.
Here, you can enjoy three types of hot springs themed around "the earth," "the forest," and "the sea."
We also decided on a meeting time and headed to our respective hot spring facilities.
The men's and women's baths are not rotated. After our stay, I saw photos of the men's bath that my husband took, and I noticed that the women's bath had a more extensive powder room, and there were also differences in the size and design of the bathtubs. Both are comfortable spaces, but each has its own unique charm.
The bounty of the sea: "Pearl Bath" (Men's Bath)

Of all the baths at "Megumi no Yu," our favorite was "Pearl Bath." The bathwater, infused with moisturizing ingredients derived from pearls and an original pearl powder that shimmers with an aurora-like glow, leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth after bathing. We were also very impressed by how the pearl components remaining on the skin catch the light and create a lustrous finish, as if you were wearing a veil.
The bounty of the earth: "Shiosai no Yu" (Men's bath)
"Shiosai no Yu," a natural hot spring fed by our own source, is a sodium spring that meets the standards for therapeutic hot springs. It warms you to the core and slowly soothes away the fatigue of your travels.
Forest blessings "Nemunoki Hot Spring" (Men's bath)
The open-air bath "Nemunoki-yu" features water infused with silk tree bark extract, developed in collaboration with Mikimoto Pharmaceutical. Soaking in the bath while feeling the scent of the forest and the breeze provides a truly blissful experience, making you feel at one with nature.
While our accommodation, "Forest Villa DOG," also boasts a comfortable view bath, it's not a hot spring, so we made frequent trips to "Megumi no Yu" (Blessing Bath) during our stay. Surrendering ourselves to the three blessings of nature—the land, the forest, and the sea—provided by Ise-Shima, our minds and bodies slowly unwinded. "NEMU RESORT" is not just a place to admire beautiful scenery, but also a place where you can experience the local nature, history, and culture with all your senses. Such luxurious moments made this trip even more deeply memorable.
