It was mid-summer, and the trees, washed clean by the rain, were a vibrant green. Due to the effects of Typhoons 7 and 8, bad weather had continued until the day before our trip. It rained continuously on our way there at first, but as we approached our destination, the rain gradually weakened and, miraculously, stopped. The mountains, soaked with rain, shone with a deep green, and the moist, lush forest scenery filled the car window. It felt as if nature was welcoming us, and it was a promising start to our journey.

A journey is something that begins to excite you from the moment you start on your way to your destination. The place I visited this time was,Ise-Shima National ParkEmbraced by the rich nature of "NEMU RESORT"And so begins our three-night, four-day stay in this place surrounded by deep forests and the tranquil Ago Bay, together with our beloved dog, Chocolat.

Since dogs are not allowed in the main building, we parked Chocolat in the parking lot where villa guests can temporarily park, and she waited in the car until we checked in.

NEMU RESORT is located within Ise-Shima National Park, overlooking Ago Bay. Spanning approximately 250 hectares—about 61 times the size of Tokyo Dome—the resort boasts a vast area where forests, lawns, and seaside landscapes seamlessly blend together, with nature itself being its main attraction. Wanting to fully appreciate this place, which is impossible to experience in just one night, I opted for a three-night, four-day stay.

The first place we headed to was the "HOTEL NEMUThe main building's front lobby. In this calm space, where you can feel the warmth of wood, a peaceful atmosphere prevails, unlike that of a city hotel.

At the front desk, the staff gave me a warm welcome, and the fatigue from my long journey gradually began to melt away.

Although hotel check-in time is from 3:00 PM, I arrived a little earlier than planned. However, the staff kindly informed me that they would show me to my room as soon as it was ready. Their thoughtfulness put me at ease, freeing me from the hustle and bustle of travel and further increasing my anticipation for the stay ahead.

While looking at a guide map of the vast grounds, you'll receive a tour of the facilities, along with explanations about areas where you can spend time with your dog and areas where you are not allowed. After reviewing and signing the terms and conditions, check-in is complete.

The hotel shop is open from 8:00 AM to 7:30 PM. I always choose souvenirs on my last day, so I'll introduce them later.

In fact, the history of this resort dates back to 1967. At that time, "Nemunoki no Sato," developed by the Yamaha Group, was born as one of Japan's leading resorts, combining music, sports, and nature.

Currently,Mitsui Fudosan GroupUnder the name "Ise-Shima Resort Management Co., Ltd.," the resort is operated by Ise-Shima Resort Management Co., Ltd., and the original atmosphere of the resort is still carefully preserved within the building.

The thousands of LP records stored in the lounge are one example of this.

The collection, primarily from the 1960s to the 1980s, quietly tells the story of this place's history intertwined with music culture.

Guests can enjoy coffee freely in the lounge, spending a peaceful time, perfect for the start of their journey, while gazing at the greenery outside the window.

You are welcome to bring your dog to the terrace in front of the entrance.

Chocolat, who loves people, was greeted kindly by the dog-loving staff and seemed delighted, wagging her tail happily. She blended in so naturally with the surroundings that it was hard to believe it was her first time there, and it felt like she was enjoying the start of the trip along with them.

With a cup of coffee in hand, a sense of relief at having arrived safely at my destination and anticipation for the three nights and four days ahead spread through me. I was already realizing the luxury of taking a break from my hectic daily life and spending time amidst the nature that unfolded before me.

Next, we'll head to "Forest Villa DOG," where you can stay with your dog.

After receiving your room key and land car key, let's drive to "Forest Villa DOG," where you and your dog will be staying.

During your stay, you can tour the facilities in a land car, one provided for each villa room. Guests staying in the main building can also rent a golf cart (1,650 yen for 1 hour, 6,600 yen for 24 hours).

Four days spent surrounded by the rich nature of Ise-Shima. The first step began with a pleasant check-in, where we were welcomed by a long history and a tranquil atmosphere. Next, we stayed at a place where you can stay with your dog.Forest Villa DOGThis is an introduction to "[...]."
