「Shima Mediterranean VillageContinuing our walk from the central square, our next stop was the "Andalusia Zone." This area is designed to evoke the Andalusia region of southern Spain, which faces the Mediterranean Sea.

Reflecting Spain's passionate spirit, this town evokes a bright and vibrant seaside city. With its white stucco walls, orange tiled roofs, and flower-filled streets, it exudes a sense of freedom that lifts your spirits just by walking through it. The architectural design is said to be inspired by the beautiful townscapes of Ronda and Casares in Andalusia, Spain. One eye-catching feature on the street corners is the multi-purpose space "Caja Libre." "Libre" means "freedom" in Spanish, and true to its name, it is a versatile space used for various purposes such as events, exhibitions, and workshops.

From somewhere, the gentle sound of a piano drifted on the breeze. Drawn in by the pleasant melody, I walked towards a cool, air-conditioned resting area where a man was softly playing a white piano. The beautiful sound, blending seamlessly into the exotic streetscape, made me feel as if I were spending time in a small Spanish town. As I rested my body, slightly warmed from my walk, I was enveloped in the gentle piano melody, and my heart naturally began to heal.

This "Caja Libre" features a "street piano," which anyone can play freely between 11:00 and 15:00. A song you stumble upon on your travels, along with the scenery, will become a cherished memory of your trip.

Walking along the cobblestone alleys, you'll feel so immersed in an authentic, exotic atmosphere that you might forget you're in Japan.

A view like a window framed in a white plaster wall. If you casually turn your gaze, you'll find yourself in the calm Ago Bay and lush green islands, encountering a breathtaking view unique to Shima Mediterranean Village, where the townscape and the nature of Ise-Shima are in perfect harmony.

During my stroll, I came across a takeaway cafe with an eye-catching red and white striped awning.PescadorThe shop offers a variety of treats, including soft-serve ice cream, churros, and drinks, creating a charming atmosphere that makes you want to stop by. Strolling leisurely through the exotic streets with a drink in hand is a luxurious way to spend time in this village. Inside, there is an eat-in space called the "Fisherman's Salon," and you can also take a break on the spacious rooftop terrace. What's more, dogs are welcome on the rooftop, making it perfect for taking a break during a stroll through town with your furry friend.

The white cityscape offers plenty of photogenic scenes that will make you want to point your camera at them.

There was a lovely heart-shaped wall art piece here too. If you sit on a chair, facing each other across the table, and take a couple's photo, it's sure to make a charming picture.

Looking up down the alley, the streetlights adorned with delicate ironwork stand out against the blue sky. They add an elegant touch to the foreign cityscape, transforming even the most ordinary alleys into picturesque scenes.

As you walk through the town, you'll see "HOTEL Guest Only" signs everywhere. Beyond them lies a private area accessible only to hotel guests. Within the white streets, a tranquil space unfolds that only guests can enjoy, where a special time flows that can only be experienced by staying here.

Beyond this point lies a private area accessible only to hotel guests. Further inside, you'll find "Spa Alhambra," a natural hot spring exclusively for guests. Inspired by the Mezquita, a UNESCO World Heritage site in Cordoba, Spain, the bathhouse is adorned with mosaic tiles, creating an exotic atmosphere. Arabic designs reminiscent of Spanish architecture from the Muslim era unfold throughout, making you feel as if you've stepped into a spa abroad. The natural hot spring water, gushing from 1,430 meters underground, is a sodium chloride spring with excellent heat retention, keeping you warm for a long time. It's said to be a soothing bath that gently envelops your body after a pleasant day of exploring the city. This special space, unavailable on day trips, is one of the reasons why I'd love to stay overnight and fully enjoy it next time.

The Andalusia Zone is an area with a cheerful and warm atmosphere. Blue skies peek through the white buildings, terracotta roofs, and colorful flowers and plants fill the air. The scenery changes with every step, and you'll find yourself wanting to take pictures one after another.

When we spotted a vibrant yellow wall-mounted planter adorning the white wall, we captured a picture that perfectly matched Chocolat's yellow outfit, creating a scene that seemed to blend seamlessly into the city's landscape.

Taking your time to stroll around and find your favorite photo is one of the unique pleasures of the "Andalusia Zone." Walking through the white streets and being enveloped in a pleasant breeze, your journey continues. Next time will be the final installment of this series. In the "Sardinia Zone," where fountains welcome you, we will introduce all the charms of Shima Mediterranean Village. Join us on this Mediterranean journey to the very end.
