The Taiwan Michelin Guide was announced on March 14, 2018! Many restaurants we previously covered received awards, and Shounryugin, led by Japanese chef Ryohei Hieda, was awarded two stars! Yi Gong, the Chinese restaurant at the Palais de Chine Hotel, was awarded three stars, and it seems that the balance of atmosphere and service, not just the taste, was the key to its award. RAW, led by world-renowned chef André Chiang, who is consistently nominated for the world's best restaurants, MUME, which is attracting attention as a new Nordic cuisine restaurant, the world-famous Robuchon Taipei, and Ya Ge, the Chinese restaurant at the Mandarin Oriental, all received one star. It is also noteworthy that Japanese cuisine and sushi restaurants received a relatively large number of awards in the Taiwan Michelin Guide.
