I've known about that shop for a very long time.
Even after searching online, there's hardly any information available.
I'm curious about it, but for some reason I feel hesitant to go in.
Among the several such restaurants, and this is a local topic, I'm aiming to visit "zero restaurants in the neighborhood that I haven't been to," and I'd like to introduce an okonomiyaki restaurant within walking distance of my home in Mikatahara, Kita Ward, Hamamatsu City. Miharu(Miharu)
Despite having a noren (shop curtain) hung up inside out and appearing to be open all year round, the lunch hours are not from 12:00 to 23:30, a slightly odd 15-minute change. It's a rather mysterious shop, full of things to comment on, but it's a charming place!

This was a restaurant that had been mentioned in conversations with friends about food, so I finally decided to go and check it out that day!
The interior of the restaurant was even cleaner than I had imagined, and the walls, lined with menus, were adorned with smiling commemorative photos of regular customers, giving a real sense of the restaurant's history!
There are five gas stoves with griddles, and also sofa seating, creating a relaxed atmosphere. It reminds me of a candy store/okonomiyaki shop I used to stop by every day on my way home from high school; it has a warm, nostalgic feel!

Perhaps the best thing about this shop is the owner's smile!
The slightly eccentric shop owner will greet you with a cheerful smile and a high-pitched voice!
This restaurant uses domestically produced flour, bonito and kelp broth, and plenty of grated yam to create fluffy okonomiyaki and light monjayaki. The lunch menu offers okonomiyaki, monjayaki, yakisoba, yakiudon, and kuppa for a shocking price of 400 yen each!
We offer over 30 different toppings ranging from 50 yen to 200 yen, and you can add them to your base menu item as you like!

This time, we ordered the "Okonomiyaki + Kimchi Ramen Set" for 850 yen, "Yakitori" for 400 yen, and "Kuppa" for 400 yen, and decided to share them among the three of us. We deliberately didn't add any toppings so that we could enjoy the classic, plain flavors!
The owner cooks the food right in front of you on a griddle, so all you have to do is wait for it to be ready!

On the wall, there's a sign that reads, "Tips for making delicious okonomiyaki!" It says, "Don't touch, don't press, don't bang! The 3 No's! Cook for 3 minutes initially, flip and cook for 5 minutes, flip again and cook for 2 minutes, and it's done in about 10 minutes!" They cook it exactly according to the instructions!
Simply top the homemade sauce and mayonnaise with plenty of bonito flakes and dried seaweed, and it's done!
With no toppings, this okonomiyaki offers a light and refreshing taste, allowing you to directly experience the flavor of the broth and the fluffy texture of the grated yam!
Its small size makes it perfect as a snack when you're feeling a little hungry!

Speaking of snacks, apparently the "chocolate balls" and "red bean paste balls," which are served with ice cream and cost 500 yen each, are very popular here!
According to the owner, the shop has been in business for about 25 years, and because of its reasonable prices, it's popular with students, including those from nearby Hamamatsu Technical High School!
Stay true to your style forever.
It was a shop where I could see why it has been loved for so long!
