A Japanese confectionery shop located in KanzanjiShizuhanaSpeaking of "[Name of shop]", they sell strawberry daifuku that is only available for a limited time during this season when strawberries are delicious.Strawberry Drops"Ichigo no Shizuku" is so famous that it ranks third in popularity in Hamamatsu, second only to the famous eel pies from "Shunkado" and "Takoman." Because it is only available for a limited time and each one is carefully handmade, the number of "Ichigo no Shizuku" sold varies from day to day, but they sell nearly 1,000 per day! However, there is a limit of 50 per person, so those who want to buy a lot sometimes go with their whole family. To buy it at the store, arriving at 9am when it opens is too late, and some people can be seen lining up as early as 7am! (Amazing!) To purchase by reservation, you can call to check which days are available for reservation (excluding Mondays and Tuesdays, which are the store's regular closing days), and place your order for the following month starting one month in advance. This limited-time "Ichigo no Shizuku," which makes you feel the arrival of spring, boasts the same taste and unchanging popularity this year as well. This time, Ms. I, who I'm always indebted to, went out with her family early in the morning and bought all 250 I had asked her to! (Amazing!) Thankfully, she shared some with me, so I'd like to introduce them♪

The one in the foreground is cut vertically. This is a Japanese confectionary made with a whole strawberry (Akihime variety) inside, wrapped in white bean paste and habutae mochi (a type of soft rice cake). The thin habutae mochi is very soft, and the carefully selected strawberry visible through it has the perfect balance of sweetness and tartness! Furthermore, the elegant white bean paste follows with a subtle sweetness, and with one bite, you will experience an indescribable moment of bliss. The tea is from Kakegawa.OmuraenI enjoyed it with "Harumachi Tea," a seasonal deep-steamed tea from [Name of the shop/company]. I'm always grateful to be able to enjoy seasonal limited-edition products! Thank you as always, I-san!
