A creative spot over 50 years old located along Yurino-ki StreetKAGIYA BuildingThe rooftop of "[building name]" has been bustling with activity these past few days. For a limited time, they've turned the rooftop, which is usually unused, into a campsite! It's called "[building name]"Camp Garden - Town CampingThe event is being held. This event is organized by the "Machinaka Camp Executive Committee" as part of the "Minna no Hamamatsu Creative Project" selected projects, andMaruhachi Real Estate Co., Ltd.」、「Books and Prints」、「enn」、「Handmade Soba Naru」、「403architecture [dajiba] 」、「BOTANICAIt seems it was launched with the cooperation of "[company name]"♪

The entrance to the first floor is marked by this mini tent model!

The event will be packed with talk events and workshops! On the evening of the second day, we will hear from a Tokyo-born artist who has held numerous solo exhibitions both domestically and internationally, participated in group exhibitions, and is also active in T-shirt design, collaborations with apparel brands, and album jacket design.Ken KagamiHis talk show (admission fee: 1,000 yen), which combined humor with his art and was almost like a sex education lesson, captured the hearts of young people and was a great success!

The bar located on the rooftop is open from 6 PM (4 PM on weekends) to 10 PM during the event period. Enjoying a drink in the open space on the rooftop while gazing at the night sky is simply wonderful!

Six painting tents, each decorated by an artist, have been set up. Reservations are required for overnight stays. The tents come in three sizes: S (for approximately 2 people), M (for approximately 2-3 people), and L (for approximately 3-4 people). Rental fees are ¥2,000 for S, ¥3,000 for M, and ¥4,000 for L. There are still a few tents available, so reservations are possible!

I also visited the KAGIYA Building during the daytime on the third day of the event. I stopped at an intersection and happened to look up at the rooftop, where colorful flags were fluttering pleasantly in the wind.

This is what the entrance looks like during the day. It's a refreshing change from the nighttime atmosphere. The stairs of this four-story building are quite a challenge for someone like me with low stamina (lol). There were also families with small children, carrying strollers, coming to play♪

The events on the third day include the Pedal Power Project, where you can experience human power through cycling (participation fee: 500 yen), the Happy Flag Workshop, where you can remake coffee paper into cute flags (participation fee: 500 yen), and the Furufuwa Portrait Workshop (participation fee: 1,000 yen). The events will be held from 2 PM to 6 PM.

The event schedule for tomorrow and beyond is as follows: On Saturday, September 14th, 2013, there will be a morning yoga/champaka session from 7:30 AM (participation fee: 500 yen), and from 7 PM to 10 PM on the same day, delicious food from handmade soba noodle shop Naru will be available as catering. Finally, on the last day, Sunday, September 15th, 2013, from 6 PM to 10 PM, we plan to conclude with a fun DJ set!

There are plenty of events to enjoy both day and night. Why not visit this rooftop paradise in the heart of Hamamatsu, where you can enjoy a magnificent urban space? A view you've never seen before awaits you!
