This restaurant has an open terrace, making it a wonderful place to enjoy lunch with your dog.

WINERY HILLS RANCH
An American-style steakhouse located next to the "WINERY HILLS RANCH" riding club.

Located just a few minutes' drive from the main building, this location also offers panoramic views of vineyards and a tranquil landscape.

Please note that the shop is only open on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, and its operating hours are from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Open-air terrace with roof
The real charm of "Maverick" lies in dining on its spacious, covered open terrace. Lunch overlooking the vast vineyards offers a truly delightful experience, making it worthy of being called a "winery restaurant in the sky."

Even in the scorching heat of midsummer, a cool breeze blows through, making it a pleasant place to spend time.

shop
The shop is adorned with accessories and decorations that evoke a cowboy atmosphere, making you feel as if you've stepped into the world of a Western movie.

We were able to sit on the terrace with our beloved dog, Chocolat. A staff member kindly and with a smile said, "Please bring your dog to the chair," and immediately offered Chocolat some water.

Chocolat seems to be relaxing, enjoying the warm, dog-friendly hospitality.

The menu includes the most popular "Cowboy Steak" made with Ashitaka beef, a brand of beef from Izu, as well as "Seafood Mix Grill," "Chicken Steak," "Wagyu Hamburg Steak," and "Wagyu Hamburger."

Introducing our hearty steak and hamburger lunch!

The extremely popular "Cowboy Steak (200g)" ¥2,750
It was even more voluminous than I imagined. The thickly cut 200g chunk of meat was truly impressive!

We use "Ashitaka beef," known for its rich flavor and tender texture. The steak is cooked to perfection, resulting in a plump and tender finish. It's crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, allowing you to enjoy the deliciousness of high-quality lean meat. The side dishes include chunky, fluffy fried potatoes with the skin on, and a balanced array of colorful vegetables such as broccoli, bell peppers, and corn.

You can choose from three sauces: steak sauce, teriyaki sauce, and wasabi soy sauce. I selected the most popular steak sauce. For an additional charge (+¥55), you can also add garlic butter. Dab the sauce generously and take a big bite, and the juicy meat will make you smile!

"Wagyu Beef Hamburger (200g)" ¥1,980
The Wagyu hamburger features a soft, fluffy bun, melted cheese that whets the appetite, a thick patty that spills out of the bun, and plenty of fresh vegetables, making it incredibly satisfying. The rich flavor of the meat and the refreshing taste of the fresh vegetables are a perfect match, and despite its generous size, it's delicious to the last bite. I finished it all while snacking on crispy fries in between bites!

"Grape Vinegar Orange / Grape Vinegar Soda" ¥660 each
The refreshing grape vinegar juice made with "Izu Wine Grape Vinegar," which uses the original grape variety "Shidanoki" from Nakaizu Winery (which I also bought as a souvenir), has become a popular summer treat!

Enjoying lunch while gazing at the magnificent scenery created by the refreshing blue sky and vineyards is a truly special experience that can only be enjoyed here.

From here, you can see the riding club below, where everyone from beginners to experienced riders and even young children can enjoy horseback riding. (Reservations required) Instructors will provide lessons tailored to your skill level, making it a safe and enjoyable activity. Horseback riding while immersed in nature is sure to create wonderful memories.

Due to the summer heat, the horses were resting in their stables, but we were able to learn about their individual personalities through the photos displayed in the shop.

They currently manage 15 horses, and only "Yuka-chan," the only horse of the native Japanese breed, the Tsushima horse, has been given a Japanese name.

With its breathtaking location surrounded by beautiful vineyards, and the perfect marriage of nature, food, and wine, it was the perfect way to end our Izu trip and create unforgettable memories. It's such a wonderful place that I want to come back again in a different season. If you're traveling to Izu, I highly recommend visiting this spot!
