In a place where you can feel the gentle mountain range leading to the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage route and the pure energy of Ise Grand Shrine, Japan's largest integrated resort "VISON / VisonThere is a hotel called " " which opened on August 1, 2024, in a particularly tranquil, green farm area within the vast grounds.HACIENDA VISON / Hacienda Vison」。

"Aqua Ignis Co., Ltd." is operated by the British home furnishing shop " The Conran Shop The design supervision was overseen by [Name of designer], and the space features designer furniture and art from Japan and abroad, as well as modern interiors reminiscent of Spain.

The sculptural artwork that greets you in the center of the garden is by Nagasaki sculptor "Chinoko SakamotoThis stone pillar, standing in the front garden, is a work in which the long history of the stone and the warmth of the craftsman's hands intertwine. The shadows created by the slight misalignment of the straight lines and surfaces give a sense of movement even in its stillness. Its form, devoid of unnecessary ornamentation, seems to resonate with the surrounding buildings and nature, and even reflect the light, wind, and the passage of time. There seems to be a quiet power residing in the mere act of "standing there" that connects people and nature, past and present.

“"Racienda" means "manor house of the estate owner" in Spanish, and true to its name, the manor, which makes extensive use of natural materials such as wood and stone, has a sophisticated design that also exudes warmth, much like a villa in the Spanish countryside.

Because the hotel is located in a slightly secluded "farm area" within VISON, guests can use the dedicated shuttle bus to and from VISON as many times as they like during their stay, free of charge.

Guests can also use electric-assist bicycles, allowing them to experience the natural beauty of the vast grounds while feeling the breeze.

This hotel, with its unique atmosphere, allows you to forget the stresses of everyday life and enjoy the harmony of tranquility and the beauty of nature.

On this Mie VISION trip, we'll be spending a special moment here.

Upon opening the door, a large, vermilion conical fireplace was prominently displayed, and a space enveloped in soothing background music unfolded, gently and peacefully welcoming the start of our journey.

Located in the heart of HACIENDA VISION, the lobby lounge is a space freely accessible to hotel guests, bathed in warm sunlight streaming through large windows, creating a sense of openness. Seasonal flowers adorn the tables, and lightweight, stackable chairs made with bentwood technology, the "TON 30 (with arms)" and "TON 18," are used. The black painted chairs add a touch of sophistication to the otherwise soft atmosphere of the lobby.

TON is a legitimate successor brand that inherits the bentwood technique established by "Michael Thonet" in the 19th century. While preserving THONET's design philosophy and craftsmanship,

The lobby is adorned with a selection of books, records, vases, lighting, and other interior accessories, all curated by "The Conran Shop," creating a visually stunning space no matter where you look.

The artwork displayed behind the front desk is by the artist "Satoshi Ogawa"The flapping wings are a beautiful shape." Her watercolor works are characterized by their warm gaze, depicting the subtle beauty of everyday life in geometric patterns, using the unique bleeding and texture of watercolors. This piece, depicting a bird in flight, gently blends into the space and seems to naturally disappear into it.

This hotel is more like a place to "live" than just "stay," where you can relax in a Børge Mogensen "THE SPANISH CHAIR" lounge chair surrounding a fireplace, read a book, or quietly sip wine with a loved one.

The dining area features a long table befitting an island kitchen and vintage European chairs, primarily from the British brand "ERCOL," making it a comfortable space for groups to enjoy.

The lobby lounge features a shared kitchen that guests can use freely. An island kitchen is also available, allowing for private dinners with a chef. Knives, cutting boards, pots, pans, and tableware are provided, making it easy for guests to enjoy cooking together without bringing their own equipment. Guests can use fresh ingredients sourced from the VISON market or farms to experience the luxury of cooking their own meals during their travels.

The cupboard is lined with dishes, glasses, and cups, and all the cutlery is also there.

The spacious kitchen even includes a gas stove and a dishwasher.

The room is equipped with a refrigerator and freezer, and ice is available for free use. On the far left, there is a microwave oven, which can be used for both heating and cooking.

You can use all the pots, pans, and dishes placed on the shelves, and if you buy seasonal vegetables grown on the farm right in front of you at "Marche Vison," and bring your own olive oil and seasonings, you can enjoy cooking and experience a "small life during your travels."

We arrived a little after the 3:00 PM check-in time, and since most guests had already checked in, we were able to relax and be shown around the lobby. Dogs are allowed in the lobby, either carried or on a leash.

Before entering our room, we took a stroll through the front garden with our beloved dog, Chocolat. In front of us, at the foot of the mountains, there was an organic farm where seasonal herbs and vegetables grew, allowing us to feel the natural breeze on our skin and spend our time in a relaxed atmosphere.

"Wow, it smells like grass! The wind feels nice, I can hear the birds and insects, and the grass underfoot is so soft. Today, this is Daddy, Mommy, and my 'home'♪"...I tried to understand what Chocolat was thinking (lol).

The hotel has a total of six guest rooms, each with a different concept, and one of them is pet-friendly, allowing guests to stay with their dogs.

There is a corridor leading from the lobby lounge to the courtyard, and our room, "102 Málaga," is on the right.

The interplay of light and shadow created by the vintage metal art is incredibly beautiful, changing its appearance depending on the viewing angle. You can appreciate the meticulous craftsmanship of the metal's texture and the rich, aged look it has developed over time.

A courtyard comes into view at the end of the cobblestone path.

Chocolat gently brings her nose closer, taking in the scent of the forest, and slowly moves forward, as if confirming the feel of the ground beneath her feet.

Stepping into the courtyard, you find yourself in a space surrounded by trees, almost like being part of a forest. Moss-covered stones and tiny mushrooms peeking out from the soil create a serene atmosphere.

Each time the wind blows through, the rustling of leaves sounds like a whisper, and in the distance, the cries of deer echo. In this place where nature and architecture blend together, time seems to pass slowly, and you are enveloped in a feeling that even your breathing deepens. The scent of the forest, the smell of the earth, and a somehow nostalgic stillness. It was a moment that felt like "returning to nature."
