Having lived in Japan for a long time, Ms. Bhattarai is, of course, a Japanophile, and she cherishes the Hina dolls that were presented to her as a gift from Japan, displaying them in her reception room!

In the kitchen at their home, the housekeepers had already prepared lunch!

Mr. and Mrs. Bhattarai are vegetarians and don't usually eat meat dishes, but they typically serve meat dishes when guests come over. However, on this particular day, they were in mourning due to a death in the family, and therefore couldn't serve any meat dishes. Mr. Bhattarai kindly added, "Next time, I'd love for you to come and try our meat dishes!"

They prepared so many vegetables that it was more than enough, and I was so happy to see the fluffy, cooked potatoes and healthy bean dishes!

We were all hungry, so we lined up one by one and were served food! This was my second time having home-style Nepalese food, the first being at Nares's house on the first day, and it was a truly precious experience!

Dhal Bhat Talkari"Dal" is a classic Nepalese dish consisting of dal (lentil soup), bhat (rice), tarkari (side dishes), and achar (pickles) served on one plate! Nepalese cuisine uses a lot of vegetables and incorporates spices that help burn calories, making it very healthy and often having a mild flavor that suits the Japanese palate! My personal favorite is the sour and spicy achar (pickles) made with tomatoes♪Mitocha (मिठो छ) is delicious♪
