Taiwanese beer is light and refreshing, with a clean finish.
It seems to go well with any dish!

IMG_3716

"Stir-fried seasonal vegetables" 180 TWD (approximately 670 Japanese Yen)

This is stir-fried sweet potato leaves with salt, a dish not often eaten in Japan.
The garlic is used just right, the saltiness is perfect, and it's the best side dish to cleanse your palate!
Sweet potato leaves have a texture similar to molokhia or Malabar spinach, and are very tasty with a slightly slimy and sticky feel.

IMG_3726

"醎酥蝦 (Salt and Pepper Fried Shrimp)" 290 TWD (approximately 1,070 Japanese Yen)

Crispy fried shrimp stir-fried with spicy pepper makes for a satisfying dish.
Since you eat them with the shell on, you can enjoy their fragrant aroma and texture.
It's a little on the salty side, but it's perfect as a snack with drinks and has an addictive deliciousness!

"Stir-fried oysters with black beans and garlic leaves" 295 TWD (approximately 1,090 Japanese Yen)

Plump oysters are stir-fried with plenty of fresh green onions in a rich, flavorful fermented black bean sauce.

"Authentic Dried Radish Omelet" 185 TWD (approximately 685 Japanese Yen)

Using as many as 8 eggs,
It's a simple dish consisting of thick, fluffy bread filled with soft dried daikon radish.
This is a representative Taiwanese dish that has been enjoyed as a home-cooked meal for a long time.
The outside has a crispy texture, while the inside is filled with fluffy egg.
The simple flavor of the densely packed dried daikon radish is
It's soy sauce-based, making it very familiar to Japanese people, and it goes well with rice!

Which would you prefer, white rice or rice porridge?"andBernardWhen asked by Mr.

It seems that people in Taiwan really love congee.

"Five-spice chicken rolls: Deep-fried tofu skin rolls with red yeast rice-marinated pork and onions" 185 TWD (approximately 685 Japanese yen)

I use my favorite five-spice powder,
Pork marinated in red yeast rice and grilled, then mixed with finely chopped onions, wrapped in tofu skin, and deep-fried.
It's served with a sweet and savory sauce.
The unique aroma of five-spice powder is appetizing, and the savory flavor of the pork and the sweetness of the onions are in perfect balance.
It's wrapped in yuba (tofu skin) and deep-fried, but it's not greasy at all, so you'll find yourself eating it non-stop!

IMG_3713

"Xin Ye Braised Pork (Large)" 240 TWD (approximately 890 Japanese Yen)

Lu rou (braised pork belly) is made by simmering Taiwanese pork with soy sauce, garlic, and green onions.
Many of the braised pork dishes we encounter in Taiwan have a strong star anise flavor, which is a flavor that my husband and I are not particularly fond of.
This product is very easy to eat because it does not use any Chinese-style spices such as star anise.
Taiwanese pork is said to have a strong sweetness, so they don't rely on special seasonings and instead cook it in a way that brings out the natural flavor of the meat.
I don't like the fatty parts of braised pork belly, so I don't eat it very often even in Japan.
This braised pork was delicious, with a lovely, refined texture and tender fat!
Overall, this restaurant offers well-balanced dishes.
It's delicious and I think it's a great choice for those new to Taiwanese cuisine!
