Enshu Nishigasaki StationA few minutes' walk from Nishigasaki intersectionNovember 6, 2013A Chinese restaurant has opened inShunka SatchōThis restaurant specializes in Sichuan cuisine, with shark fin being a top recommendation. While it's located on a main street and easily visible, the entrance is cleverly placed at the back, and the parking lot is spacious and easy to park in. It's child-friendly, so you'll see many families there, giving it the feel of a nice, family-friendly restaurant.

The restaurant has glass walls that allow you to see the kitchen, and the interior is a calm space based on white and dark brown. Despite its size, the seating is spacious, so there is a good distance between tables, making it a comfortable place to be. There are about seven tables for four people in the main area, and I also saw counter seats for solo diners and a private room at the back on the left side of the entrance. There is a live fish tank at the front, containing fish, shrimp, and abalone. The lunch menu is:From 950 yenThey are prepared, with noodles served with rice, rice served with soup, and rice refills are free. And every lunch menu comes with dessert.Almond tofuIt comes with this!

"Crab meat Tenshinhan (with soup)" (noodles also available) 950 yen
Tenjin rice with crab meatThis dish consists of white rice with generous chunks of crab meat, topped with fluffy scrambled eggs and finished with a non-sour Chinese-style sauce. The use of cornstarch makes the sauce a little heavy and thick, but it's neither too rich nor too thin, and has a simple, unremarkable flavor that makes it easy to eat.

Weekly Lunch Special B: This week's dish and half portion of Dan Dan Noodles "Lightly Salted Tofu and Crab Meat Stew (with Rice)" 1,250 yen
Weekly Lunch Special B is,This week's recipe and half-size Dan Dan noodlesYou can have this. This week's dishes are,Lightly seasoned stew of tofu and crab meatIt's a light, salty sauce made with tofu and crab meat. Like the Tenshinhan, the richness of the sauce is quite noticeable. I'm not sure if "hotel-style cuisine" is the right way to describe it, but for an independent restaurant, it feels unusually uninspired. It's probably aimed at appealing to everyone. After all, there are limits to what can be enjoyed by people of all ages and the whole family, and seeing a small child happily devouring the food next to me makes me think this is perfectly fine.

Weekly Lunch Special B: "Half-size Dan Dan Noodles"
This half-portion of Dan Dan noodles has a stronger tangy flavor from the spices than from the sesame paste. The noodles are thin and straight. The half-portion set is a great value!

The dessert included with lunch is almond tofu. For an additional 100 yen, you can get almond tofu with coconut milk.
The dessert that comes with every lunchAlmond tofuteeth,Additional charge: +100 yenYou can add coconut milk to your almond tofu. This is the standard almond tofu. It comes in a large bowl, similar in size to a chawanmushi (savory egg custard), and is quite substantial for a dessert included in a set meal. The sweetness is mild, and the texture is just right. The price range is relatively reasonable, so it might be a good choice for families with small children or grandparents.
