Konnyaku presented to Ichinomiya-sama by Kumekichi, a konnyaku and tokoroten specialty shop in Mori-machi, Enshu.

In 1854 (Ansei 1), the first founder, Kumekichi, began making konnyaku in Mori-machi, Enshu.
