I received a wonderful New Year's gift from Ayako, a client and friend of mine at the salon! (I'm so grateful!) It included "Shinzan," a sencha tea with gold flakes from Ishida Chaya, a tea shop in Mori-machi run by a relative of Ayako's mother, and she mentioned that she had visited Ise for her first shrine visit of the year...
