If you're visiting Atami, one of the places I'd recommend is the spectacular view from the top of Nishikigaura Mountain, and Atami Castle, which stands atop Nishikigaura Mountain and was built in 1959 (Showa 34)! This castle was once the site of the castle of successive famous generals of the Odawara Hojo clan, who wielded great power in the Kanto and Tokai regions during the Sengoku period...
