Enjoy the cherry blossoms at the "Sakura Festival" held at Hamamatsu Castle Park, where you can admire 340 cherry trees and enjoy a picnic lunch.

I went to the "Sakura Festival" being held from March 25th (Sun) to April 8th (Sun), 2018, at Hamamatsu Castle Park, the castle where Tokugawa Ieyasu resided for 17 years in his youth and which became the starting point of the 300-year Edo Shogunate! The festival features mainly Somei Yoshino cherry trees, but also weeping cherry trees, mountain cherry trees...

"Aji Ichiba" is an izakaya (Japanese pub) where you can enjoy seasonal local fish and delicious local sake, using carefully selected ingredients chosen by the owner.

Visit "Jizake Senmonten Aji Ichiba," a local izakaya frequented by locals, where the owner himself travels to Hamamatsu Market, Maisaka Fishing Port, and Omaezaki Fishing Port to procure carefully selected ingredients, and serves seasonal creative dishes paired with carefully chosen local sake! It's located about 3km from the south exit of JR Tokai Hamamatsu Station...

The tonkatsu (pork cutlet) made with three types of sterile, crossbred pork from the Kikuya restaurant, run by the second-generation owner, is exquisite!

Located along Himekaido Street, the three-story business inn "Kikuya" was originally opened by the previous owner as a Japanese restaurant specializing in tonkatsu (pork cutlets) on the first floor. However, after his son trained at "Sushi Han Airo" in Handayama, he took over the business, now offering both sushi and Japanese cuisine...
