Gardens by the BayLet's head there by crossing the Dragonfly Bridge, a connecting bridge that leads from there to the 4th floor of the Marina Bay Sands hotel tower!
This is the main entrance. The hotel's structure is broadly divided into a tower area and a shopping center area. The tower area contains the hotel and the Sands SkyPark, famous for its rooftop pool, while the shopping center area boasts a shopping center spanning 70,000 square meters. These two areas are connected by a walkway.
The Sands Hotel lobby features a high ceiling, creating a spacious and open atmosphere. The Sands SkyPark consists of three towers, each occupying up to the 54th floor and offering 2,561 guest rooms.
Breakfast is available at the Rise restaurant in the lobby, starting from S$38 (approximately 3,040 yen).
The Sky Deck, located next to the Sands Sky Park, a rooftop garden built atop the hotel tower, is open to the general public as well as hotel guests. This is a paid observation deck (free for hotel guests) offering panoramic views of Marina Bay from a height of 200 meters. The ticket office is located down to the basement level from the entrance of Hotel Tower 3.
Admission fees are S$20 for adults (approximately 1,600 yen) and S$14 for children aged 2-12 (approximately 1,120 yen). After purchasing your ticket, take the dedicated elevator up and head straight to the entrance of the Sky Garden on the 56th floor!
Walking around the bow of the ship-shaped rooftop garden, you can look down on iconic Marina Bay landmarks such as Shenton Way and the Merlion to the west, the Singapore Flyer to the north, and Gardens by the Bay to the east. It's a truly wonderful view!
By the way, the "Infinity Pool," a pool 200 meters above ground that everyone dreams of swimming in, is normally reserved for hotel guests only. However, there is a free 15-minute guided tour that allows you to enter the pool zone three times a day, Monday through Friday, at 10:00, 14:00, and 21:00. Each tour has a capacity of 50 people and is first-come, first-served; reservations are not accepted. You can sign up at the ticket counter in the Sky Deck, located in the basement of Tower 3, at the designated time. The tour is free, but you will need to pay the observation deck entrance fee of S$20 (approximately 1,600 yen). You can't directly enter the pool, but you can enjoy the view, so if you can make it at those times, be sure to check it out!
From here, you can see Gardens by the Bay, where we were strolling earlier. It looks so small from this height! It's around 10am right now, but the best time to visit this Sky Deck is definitely at night. The skyscrapers of Shenton Way sparkle like jewels, creating a scene straight out of a movie. Sunset in Singapore is around 7:20pm, so it's best to visit after 7:30pm to enjoy the night view. The view from above is great, but at night, we'd like to watch the "Wonder Full" night show, which takes place twice every night, from below!
In the center of the photo is one of the world's largest Ferris wheels.Singapore Flyer?You can look down on the scenery. The 165m tall, 28-seat Ferris wheel is made entirely of glass, allowing you to enjoy panoramic views in all directions during a roughly 30-minute aerial stroll. The fare starts from S$33 (approximately 2,640 yen). It seems that you can also create luxurious flight plans that include champagne, cocktails, or dinner! As I mentioned during my previous transfer on the way there, air pollution has reached its worst level ever due to smoke from the forest fires that spread in neighboring Indonesia, and according to the Singapore Environment Agency (NEA), the air pollution index on the 21st was 401, a "dangerous" level. And since my return transfer was 5 days later, the visibility seemed a little better than on the way there, but it was a shame that the scenery wasn't as clear.
The unique, flower-shaped building floating in Marina Bay below is the ArtScience Museum, also designed by Moshe Safdie. It is built around the themes of art and science. Its shape, which spreads out like a lotus flower, also resembles ten fingers and is therefore called the "welcoming hand," with each of the fingers serving as a corner gallery. Admission is S$28 (approximately 2,240 Japanese yen) for a free pass to the entire museum.
When you take a commemorative photo with the city view of towering buildings as a backdrop, it looks almost like a composite image. Even when entering this sky deck, a dedicated photographer was taking pictures of tourists in front of a screen, then composited the photos and sold them (lol).
After enjoying the Sky Deck, we'll head down the stairs from Tower 2.
The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands shopping center area houses over 300 shops and restaurants. Most shops open at 10am, but the luxury brands, jewelry stores, and watch shops on the L1 floor appeared to be still closed. This floor features popular brands such as Prada, Hermes, Cartier, Fendi, and Gucci, centered around a roundabout atrium. Louis Vuitton has a store connected to an outdoor waterfront location, and the connection to the shopping mall is a gallery.
Currently, Singapore boasts two government-approved casinos, Resorts World Sentosa and Mariners Bay Sands, which are attracting attention from around the world. Hotel construction is also booming, and Singapore is likely to remain an attractive travel destination for casino enthusiasts in the future.
On the L1, B1, and B2 floors of Marina Bay Sands, you can enjoy "The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands," a massive shopping mall with floor-to-ceiling glass windows. The curved interior of the mall stretches approximately 400 meters from end to end. Within this vast space of over 70,000 square meters, you'll find more than 300 stores, ranging from world-renowned brands to casual fashion boutiques.If you're looking for luxury goods, check out the L1 floor we just talked about.If you're looking for affordable shopping, B2 is recommended. You'll find shops selling casual brands such as GUESS, agnès b., and Banana Republic.
There's also a "Sampan Ride" attraction that takes you on a sampan boat, a type of boat once used for transportation, along the canal that flows through the B2 level of the shopping center. The round-trip fare is S$10 per person (approximately 800 yen).
The central fountain area is called "Rain Oculus," an art path where water stored in an aqua bowl on the L1 floor swirls for about 15 minutes before flowing down to the canal on the B2 floor. There are a total of 10 large-scale art installations integrated into the Marina Bay Sands facility, subtly displayed throughout. Rain Oculus is one of them.
The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands has numerous restaurants where you can stop by between shopping and sightseeing.
The shopping center area features many familiar chain restaurants, including Din Tai Fung, famous for its dim sum; Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Bistro, a cafe offering light meals; and Toast Box, known for its kaya toast. Among them, we recommend "Rasapura Masters," a food court located on the B2 floor, surrounding the ice rink. This large food court with 960 seats offers not only Singaporean cuisine but also famous restaurants serving Malaysian, Thai, and Chinese food, among other Asian cuisines. From Tai Fung's fried Hokkien mee and Xin Kee's chicken rice to Huang Ya Xi Bak Kut Teh, there's a wide selection of local foods you'll want to try!
Among them, the one that particularly caught my eye was this congee shop, "A1 Porridge." It started as a Teochew-style claypot frog congee shop and has gradually gained popularity among locals. Through continuous innovation and creativity, Richard Tarr is said to be creating new variations and flavors that people love♪
The sight of the piping hot porridge being poured from the pot, visible through the glass, is truly impressive!

It's a shame that the toppings are so different from the menu photo, but I've gotten used to it (lol). The piping hot congee is very flavorful with the broth of scallops and clams, and the dried whitebait adds a nice accent and enhances the flavor. I've never had such delicious congee even in Japan! (amazed) There are spices available outside the shop so you can adjust the spiciness to your liking! It's such a delicious congee that I honestly want to eat it again!
Having fueled up with a fantastic breakfast of congee, our next destination is this Phantom! Let's go! (Just kidding, haha) We simply hailed a taxi in front of the hotel♪
