Located along the Kanazashi Road, JA Topia Hamamatsu is extremely popular for its wide variety of agricultural products, including rare produce not typically found in the market, taking advantage of its extensive service area.Farmers Market Mikatahara Store"Mr. Hamazo. On Sunday mornings, there are often long lines from the moment the store opens. I tried to avoid the peak hours and went a little after 10 am. Even then, the store was still overflowing with people, and there was a wait at the register, so it might be difficult to shop unless you have plenty of time. However, if you can overlook the crowds and waiting times, you can buy delicious, fresh, and abundant varieties of vegetables at reasonable prices. Today, by chance, I met a friend from the "Hamazo Blog"”I like delicious food”I was able to meet moca* from "". As expected, I always meet people who know good food here♪

Farmers were holding a tasting event in front of the entrance to Farmers Market. The "morning-picked corn" I tried was incredibly sweet, fresh, and delicious, so I bought two ears for 300 yen. Apparently, it's corn that can be eaten raw, and only needs to be boiled for 2-3 minutes. Salt is optional!

"Bagna cauda with corn, green beans, okra, broccoli rabe, and potatoes"

Freshly picked corn can be boiled in water with a pinch of salt for just 2-3 minutes and enjoyed at its sweetest. Other vegetables are also boiled just enough to retain their texture and served with homemade bagna cauda sauce. This bagna cauda sauce is a quick and easy recipe. Simply mix warm milk with anchovy sauce, mayonnaise, and black pepper. It's simple, but the milk makes it creamy, so it's not heavy and you can enjoy plenty of vegetables!

"A salad of mother greens, arugula, salad celery, radishes, and black olives with a salt koji onion grapefruit dressing."

My partner wanted a big salad, so I made a delicious homemade dressing. I combined salted rice malt, extra virgin olive oil, grated onion, squeezed grapefruit juice, sugar, and black pepper, adjusting the proportions to my liking while tasting. The mildness of the salted rice malt, the acidity of the grapefruit, and the sweetness of the onion all come together to make the salad incredibly delicious!

"Turnip Potage"

This is an easy potage soup: Simmer turnips until tender in consommé soup and bay leaves, then blend. Return to the pot, thin with milk or soy milk, adjust the taste with salt, and strain. For a richer flavor, add some heavy cream. It's delicious served hot or cold!

"Stir-fried turnip stems"

Don't throw away turnip and radish leaves! They make a really delicious stir-fry. Finely chop the stems, add chili peppers to taste, sprinkle with a little salt and stir-fry. Once they've softened, sprinkle generously with bonito flakes, a little soy sauce, and finally drizzle with sesame oil. This stir-fry is versatile and can be used as a side dish with freshly cooked rice on busy mornings, mixed with grilled salmon to make rice balls, or as a snack with drinks in the evening.

I found a huge basil at the farmers market, so I'm going to use it to make basil sauce that I can use for pasta, pizza, and Caprese salad. It smells wonderful and fills the kitchen with a happy atmosphere!
